Grounding and Shielding cont ...
- Sit or stand in a comfortable position with arms and legs uncrossed. Start to breathe long, regular deep breaths from the diaphragm. If you have a breathing rhythm you particularly like, learned from Yoga or some other discipline, by all means use it.
- Visualise roots going down from the base of your spine and the arch of each foot straight into the floor. Let them go straight down, thick and strong, forty feet or more into the ground. This is the "grounding" part. If you ever feel "spaced out", use this part on its own.
- Now imagine energy coming up through your roots into your body. As it enters your body, it takes on a colour, a bright red, staying that colour until it reaches the waist.
- At the waist the energy turns to orange for two or three inches, then turns yellow at a point above the navel. From the base of the ribcage to the base of the throat, including the arms and hands, the energy is green.
- The last three chakras are especially important from a reading point of view. The throat should be light blue. Then, for the first time, we allow a break in the colour scheme and place a dark blue band around the forehead. The last colour, covering the crown of the head, is a rich violet.
- Now imagine the energy turning white, again from the feet up, this time covering the whole of the body. Imagine your body shining with white light.
-
Finally, the "shielding". Imagine an oval-shaped shell of white light around your body, about a foot out in all directions. This is a strengthening of a shield which is there anyway but benefits from your visualisation. If you ever feel seriously threatened by an "atmosphere" or feel psychically "threatened", you can turn this auric shell reflective silver for extra protection. Remember to turn it back to white when the threat is gone, though. The silver is an absolute block on all energy exchange and is not healthy for long-term use.
